Uppsala Marathon is a marathon taking place in the historic city Uppsala, Sweden. The first race was
\nheld in 2016 and has since grown steadily each year. This year was their best year to date –\u00a0with over
\n2000 participants running the marathon, half marathon and relay runs! This means an increase of 50% of\u00a0participants compared to the previous year (2022).<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s amazing! We were positively surprised by this great increase in participants. We had a lot of sign-ups\u00a0in the last few weeks prior to the event. Thankfully, I had ordered enough extra bib numbers and medals,\u00a0and could handle all the participants. Our success this year is due to a combination of things. Having\u00a0passion and dedication as organizers of the event, a fantastic team on event day, finding the right\u00a0channels to reach out with marketing efforts, and of course our help from external collaborators like\u00a0RaceID.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTo organize a great race, you need to have good suppliers. We have worked with RaceID since 2019\u00a0and are happy with our decision to use their event management system. I have worked closely with Max\u00a0over email, and Bj\u00f6rn to get help with participant related questions. RaceID is an excellent service: it\u2019s\u00a0also useful to have the refundable booking and insurance as add-on services. When I first started\u00a0Uppsala Marathon, I was doing everything manually with excel sheets for starting lists.
